Software & Instruments

Alongside playing and recording at DrawBarna Studios, I build my own music software, apps and physical-modelling plugins through vibe coding. These are personal projects born from the keyboard and my passion for computing — structured into two lines: GEMINA for musical geometry and visual harmony, and Physical Modelling for real-time circuit and instrument emulations (starting with the Tonewheel Factory series for Hammond organ and Leslie, with more vintage instruments and effects on the way).

GEMINA · Musical Geometry

GEMINA (Geometric Musical Interface Analyzer) is a visual music system I created to map the 12-tone chromatic universe into an interactive geometric space built from two interlaced whole-tone hexagons (the twin structure behind the name “Gemina”). Chords, scales, modes and harmonic axes become visible polygons you can rotate, reflect and play with your hands and ears.

Under the Gemina Works label I publish the apps and instruments built on this geometric system:

See music as geometry: load a MIDI file or play your keyboard and travel through its harmonic space in 3D. Export a video or a frame.

AXIS GEMINA on iPad: circular stage with hexagonal note axes and mode ring

AXIS GEMINA

iPad · Coming soon to the App Store

A multitouch musical instrument for iPad built on the geometric axes of GEMINA. Touch the circular stage or connect a MIDI keyboard, and turn the outer dial to transform keys, modes and geometric sequences in real time.

Physical Modelling of Instruments & Effects

Real-time physical emulations of electromechanical instruments, analog circuits and studio effects, coded from the perspective of a musician surrounded by real vintage gear at DrawBarna Studios (Amigó 42, Barcelona).

The first collection is Tonewheel Factory — dedicated to the electromagnetic tonewheel generator, capacitive scanner vibrato and rotary speaker of the classic Hammond organ — with more instrument and effect emulations currently in development:

SYNCHRONUS 91 interface: two-manual tonewheel console with drawbars and walnut cabinet

SYNCHRONUS 91

Tonewheel Factory · macOS · Windows · Linux · AU · VST3 · Standalone

Tonewheel organ with rotary speaker, physically modelled in real time with no samples. Per-wheel calibration, MIDI profiles and a bypass for your external rotary speaker. Free, or pay what you want.

DrawBarna Scanner C-3 hardware unit and real Hammond C-3 internal wiring photos

DRAWBARNA SCANNER C-3

Tonewheel Factory · macOS · AU · VST3 · Standalone · AO-28 Hardware Insert

Real-time physical emulation of the Hammond C-3 18-section LC delay line (500 mH AD-506 coils & 4 nF capacitors), 16-plate capacitive scanner (412.5 RPM) and RC Chorus network (U.S. Pat. 2,509,923). Can be used in any DAW or as a 2-cable hardware insert on the AO-28 preamp of a real C-3 / B-3 — keeping its original Vibrato tablets, your Leslie 145/122 and 100% dry harmonic percussion.
