Teaching
For over ten years I have taught piano and coached musicians in harmony, improvisation and ensemble playing — alongside my life as a performer and studio keyboard player.
Lessons connect technique, listening, rhythm and harmony with language that shows up on real bandstands: jazz, blues, soul, funk and wider contemporary styles.
Typical students want to move forward on piano, understand harmony without drowning in theory for its own sake, open up improvisation or feel more confident inside a rhythm section.
Areas we can focus on
- Piano technique & voicing
- Modern harmony & song forms
- Improvisation — melodic phrasing, guide-tones, motifs
- Combo / ensemble coaching — listening, dynamics, intros & endings
- Hammond organ & vintage keyboard vocabulary
- Jazz, blues, soul & funk repertoire
Face-to-face Hammond organ lessons on real instruments happen at Amigó 42 Studios — the same room where I record.
